Bike trips in the Lusatian Mountains are mostly up and down. We start in the tourist village of Waltersdorf (free parking behind the church) and we walk uphill in the direction of Mount Luž on the Rubetahlbaude border (possibility of refreshments on both the German and Czech side). Following the nice forest road we go down to Nonnenfels. We're dodging 3 km from the main road. We lock the bikes and go out to the lookout, where there is a snack Berggasthof and nice views (on foot 300 meters back and forth). We get on the bike and go in the direction of Kurort Jornsdorf, where we continue along the road to the Czech border, village Krompach. Via Julionka and Hamr (refreshments Pension Pod přehradou) we stop at Hope. Cold swimming even in summer guaranteed, I recommend. Via Rozcestník U Jána uphill along the cycle path 3061 to the cottage Luž (refreshment). Then it's just downhill.
